Exclamation

got my clutch in front of me and need to know how many miles it's got left in it. it's not down to the rivets yet and it's got a good few mm left to go

does anyone know roughly how many mm it wears per 1000 miles?

it's not slipped once and it seems a bit of a waste of money to buy a new one just for the sake of it while the gearbox is off (got better things to spend 200 odd quid on )

cant say how long it'll last, all down to type of driving etc.

however, generally if you have a few mm to the rivets, then it should last a while yet.

how many mm does it have to start with, so i can work out a percentage used?

not like anyone measures them before they put them on but it would be useful

R U doing this yourself??
As a younger bloke when I used to do all my own work, I would always replace the clutch disc as a matter of course when the g/box was out. Saved demounting the whole lot again.

Thumbs up

been to Subaru today to pick up some parts and asked about the clutch, he got a new one off the shelf and they have about 3mm to the rivets, mines about 1-1.5mm to the rivets so half worn
