Evo cop car was sitting at the Mitsu garage at Newbridge again today.......must be 6 times I've seen it in 10 days or so

Probably had broken down and had to be towed to the garage LOL

mistaken i'd say I spend all day driving around Edinburgh and never seen one

mind u i don't know a WRX from any other.....oh the sin of it all LOL

I don't think it's really a police car!

I think it's a demo car that Mitsubishi are using to try and tempt the police forces into buying.

If you look closely all the yellow and blue slickers look very poorly applied. There are also no stickers saying POLICE or Lothian & Borders Police. Lack of aerials on the outside too.

If you then look inside there are no obvious radios, video camera or vascar systems either.

Finally it's only ever been spotted parked outside the Mitsubishi garage in Newbridge or on the local roads around the airport, Kirkliston, Livingston, etc.

Go figure but I think it's a wind up!

I was told that the various divisions had it on trial to see what it's like...

 

And the best news is its not standard either. Poice do use Evo's. I believe that one force have unmarked ones as armed response vehicles. So, not only can they catch you but they can seriously scare the s### out of you as well

 

A freind of mine who works traffic for L&B has been driving it, so demo or not they are using it.

Yeh I have seen it at Fettes ......but mostly on the Calder Road between Edinburgh and Livi

 

has anyone seen a new shape wrx in police colours in edinburgh,
or has a miss informed friend mistaken this evo for one?
