i seem to have a problem with my box when engaging first gear
sometimes i have t force it and others it crunches and theres also a noise from the release bearing dont want t b fobed off by the dealer again.

 

Take it to a dealer - it looks like a clutch problem rather than a gearbox problem. Normally a "scrunch" going into 1st is down to the clutch not fully releasing, and could be down to a problem with the release mechanism (including the hydraulics) or the clutch itself.

Hey, I had exactly the same problem. On one occasion I had to physically force it into 1st gear, although most of the time it was just sticky going in or out of 1st (sometimes it was fine). The dealer sorted it out as part of the 20,000 service and (touch plastic) - no problems so far.
