Very easy to do - takes about a minute - undo clips, lift lid, change filter, clip lid back. It even tells you how to do it in the user manual. Mine only had about 100 miles on the clock at the time, so hard to comment about the performance difference.

Very easy to fit ...

Not sure about performance enhancement .. Although i have a Magnex Box as well so combination should be noticeable .... Just had my 7.5 k service and improvements between 4k-6k RPM is where I would say it makes most of the difference ..

I was worried that the Subaru Garage would yank it out and replace with an orginal but it came back ok !!
To appreciate the benefits of these mods I would speak to EcuTek to get your ECU remapped ... I have heard lots of good things about them ..but wait until u have completed your performance mods ..

Thumbs up

Hi

The ITG is easy to fit - wrongly. To fit it correctly means more than just undoing the clips - you need to release the jubilee clip around the inlet pipe to the turbo - failure to do so can (as in, not always but it is worth doing properly) result in the filter being pinched and not filtering properly.

In terms of performance- I've never seen it quantified. Based on my experience, it is not large, but my butt is not sensitive enough to feel 5BHP in 220+. Makes me feel better, and with other mods my car now breathes all the way to the redline.

Duncan

PS Scott - I wasn't aware that ECUTEK had their code for the MY01 yet. At present, most of us are running with standard timing (good thanks to the ignition advance algorithum) and fueling (poor - well rich!).
