Hi I was on my way home yesterday morning and gave ti a bit of a boot full at about 3500rmp in 5th and the engine picked up nicely and quickly rose to the 6800rpm mark at wich time I looked at the speedo expextic to be well into ilegal teritory however I was still at a bout 70mph and yes you guesed I deducet the clutch was slipping like a Bas***d there was a lovely smell of burning clutch and since then it seam to lip quite often. So seams like it was the straw that broke the camels back so to speak and it looks like I am going to need a new clutch.

Has anybody got any advise on new clutches for a MY93 WRX? OE? or aftermarket job? what are the aftermarket ones like to use very heavy ? all advisce appreciated

also I have only just got it but its covered by RAC warranty luckly anybody got any advice in dealing with RAC to get this fixed without problem as I have had several unsucessful run ins with insurance companys not paying out ( it seam I cant stop telling them the truth) and they cant help themselves finding a loop hole that leaves me out of pocket

Thanks Alistair

I'm leaning towards the sparco one as its a race clutch and it seems quite cheap. I'll be doing this in a weeks time so hopefully you can wait till then...

edit~MY93 too
