Right Guys/Gals it's voting time!

I'm considering selling my MY'98 Turbo Terzo for a E30 M3 (absolute mint). I'm just finding running the Subaru a wee bit on the expensive side. The M3 is my mate's and is very well looked after.

So can somebody out there help me decide? On one hand there's a Subaru plus expensive running costs (but a superb car to own! ) and on the other hand there's a M3 (cheaper but older).

I've even advertised my Terzo just to test the water, to see how much I'll get for it. It's in the Members Gallery and in the Private Sales. I've got pictures of my Terzo but none of the BMW. HAVE A LOOK AND HELP ME DECIDE!

The Terzo looks stunning - keep it!

PS: Are you at work too? I don't think I'll ever understand the Scottish Bank Holidays!

Mmmmmmm E30 M3...

Finest sports saloon ever made. THE best handling saloon ever, but harsh and a specialist, hand built (read can be expensive) car.

If the car is to be used as an everyday commuter/family car, the Scoobs is the better option of the two. If you are looking for the ultimate sport saloon, and arguably ultimate Q-car, go for the E30 M3.

Your car looks in fantastic condition......
I think you are kidding yourself if you think that an E30 is going to be cheaper to run...
Keep the scoob.!!!!

I was looking at one of these, but was put off following tales of VERY expensive parts/rebuilds @ 80k (which most of them seem to be at these days).

Another important one seems to be cam chain change, got quoted 1k for that!! and if it snaps, prepare for LARGE bill.

Based on how old these cars are now, and how most are driven, i would seriouslt doubt they are cheaper to run/keep than a scoob.

Gordon.

Check out this post.
My entries were on behalf of my friend who owns an E30 M3.
I've driven it and while it's steering is beautiful and handling sweet, I think I prefer the Impreza package, personally.

A great car though.

This is looking towards the Scooby as favourite. But what do you expect coming from a Forum called Scoobynet?

If you think running a £20k car is expensive, you don't want to think about running a £40k car!
