Hi,

Could somebody please shed some light on these turbos. I beleive that they come on the latest STi. The VF30 is a good turbo but is quite laggy - but I have read on the i-club that these two turbos are not as bad (ie: more like a vf29). I am looking for an upgrade turbo for an Aus MY99.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks,

RR

Thumbs up

Speak to Mark Aigin... (R19KET)

As far as I know the VF30 is a sleeve bearing turbo, at the moment it is showing great resiliance and lots of potential....

Mark is your man though.... I am but a mere amateur

Hi

why wouldn't you like to contact APS in Australia?

Have a look at their SR- series of turbochargers...

Frank :-)

Damn, I can't remember which way round it is, but one of the VF34/35 is also a sleeve bearing, identical to the VF30, the other (VF35 I think) is BB.

Personally, I'd like to see some "real" flow maps for the APS turbo's, not some pretty computer graphics.

However, I suspect the SR30 series will work well, but remain dubious about the SR50 series, until I see some real results.

Mark.
