Default Subaru alarm issues !!

Was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. My car alarm seems to go off on its own for no reason and doesn’t seem to stop no matter what I do !
I was thinking maybe a loose earth connection or something but not too sure
help would be appreciated!

I've had similar on my 2007 Hawkeye. I removed and cleaned out the bonnet sensor switch, a spring loaded plunger near the passenger suspension turret.

Not had a problem since, but from memory I think I could always turn off the alarm with the button on the key. I have the Sigma alarm and the keypad is stuck inside the coin tray...there's a way (many years ago now I did it!) that you can find out what the last trigger for the alarm was, it told me it was the bonnet. The sensor sits on a fairly fragile bracket, so perhaps it was just slightly off and not giving a 100% closed reading, even though the bonnet was definitely closed.
I also think for some reason that back then I did move the sensor slightly too by bending the bracket just a smidge, just to make it a tiny slightly different angle where it contacts the underside of the bonnet.

No idea what model you have, but mine looks like this with the rubber boot on it :

The main battery can also cause problems, if it is going flat you get an alarm chirp when unlocking etc.

Edit....and welcome along!

The false alarm is likely due to an electrical or sensor issue rather than a problem with the alarm itself. Common causes include a loose connection or faulty ground, incorrectly positioned or faulty door, trunk, or hood sensors, a weak or unstable battery, or a faulty internal alarm module, especially on older or aftermarket models.
