Default Engine rebuild - head studs or bolts?

After 10 years of trackdays... my WRX engine finally decided that one rod was tired of the low end torque.
Link to the Dyno:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Efv...ew?usp=sharing

So, engine rebuild time with a new thick walled EJ207 short block, and all new Subaru gaskets.
My question is, headbolts:ARP seems to be crazy expensive. Final power output would be 300-320 bhp.

Thanks in advance.

no idea what they are that you have linked to but presume they are basically Chinesium spoofs of ARP, etc. ??
its a no brainer on any modified engine to install good quality head studs and presuming 350-400'ish then our choice would be RCM 11mm

the first I don't know them, but the second (2SP) are an Ukrainian company.
I'd say similar to KeinFab (that are actually Russian), they do do pretty good stuff. I've bought the baffle and oil pickup from them, but I'd like to know if someone has had any experience with the head bolts.

The idea is not to buy cheap, but to buy smart.
For instance, I found the shortblock from ~2500€ - 4000€, for the exact same item. Fuji Racing has some head studs comparable to ARP, cheaper and I'd say, similar quality.
I'll probably end up buying new stock ones. For this kind of power I believe they are more than capable.

when you compare the price of the fuji racing 11mm vs RCM 11mm - are you really going to say ill save myself £120 by having a set of unknown vs tried/tested. Ideally you want to over engineer it so that youre comfortable knowing youre not pushing components to limits. last thing you want to be doing is building an engine only to find youve to build it again shortly afterwards

if you shop around you can get an ARP set inbetween price of Fuji & RCM

10yrs of trackdays....build it properly and get yourself another 10yrs

Those thick walled block has some flaws, speak to alyn asperformance.
Maybe it will be better to buy used semi closed deck ej207 instead,im on 530hp/493lbft with forged oem jdm sti 2.0 stroked to 2.1l.

Speak to Alyn at AS Performance as I think he ships internationally. Wealth of knowledge and advice. Gave an excellent price on some ARPs. I still need to place a large order but build has stalled at the moment due to some unforeseen circumstances.

Thanks for the feedback, that's way to much for my goal.
I intend to go 320-350... I value more the torque curve rather than power output. I joked that my car drove like a TDi engine, because of the low end torque.

Unfortunately Brexit killed to option to buy stuff from the UK, due to fees (overpriced).
I'm not in UK, for the rest of Europe Poland, France and Austria seems to be a good source of decently priced Subaru performance parts.

It was just to show what oem ej207 can take,do not need to be new thick walled short block.
Torque is better on 2.1l stroker
My torque curve on meth

I went for the thick wall version because it was cheaper (400€ cheaper).
It's supposed to be a better block, with worse pistons than the older version.

@JdmSti2006,
What turbo setup are you running?
