K&N large conical filter, oil or not?

Default K&N large conical filter, oil or not?

As per title really.
It's not foam, a sort of metal mesh and cloth.
It was filthy.
But do I just put it back dry?

It needs oil after cleaning.
Aem is dryflow made by K&N

I put a K&N filter back in having forgotten to oil it, and it didn't run well at all
