I am in Canada and have a JDM SG5 Cross Sports. I might need to replace the struts while keeping my springs to keep the same height.
I am wondering if USDM struts fit my JDM car. Could you please advise if you know?
For example, front right strut OEM # are: USDM 20360SA180, JDM - 20360SA140. What is the difference in specs?
Or I found that KYB struts for SG5 Cross Sports is KYB339200, but in Canada I can buy KYB 339149. I cannot find what is the difference between them...
"front right strut OEM # are: USDM 20360SA180, JDM - 20360SA140. What is the difference in specs?" Looks as if you are getting fronts and rears mixed
These are Part Numbers for REAR STRUTS Fronts begin 20310
20360SA180 /20360SA190 are self levelling rear struts.
20360SA140/20360SA150 are standard type rear struts. Both above sets are listed for JDM model depending upon which system is fitted.
"Or I found that KYB struts for SG5 Cross Sports is KYB339200, but in Canada I can buy KYB 339149. I cannot find what is the difference between them" In this case 339200 is a front strut and 339149 is a rear strut for the USA XT Limited model see ME &A catalogue entry

@Don Clark first of all, thank you so much for the info!
Silly me, I copied and pasted the wrong KYB model #. The front right that is available for me to buy is 334468.
Both above sets are listed for JDM model depending upon which system is used. - what do you mean by 'system'? Self-leveling or not? Mine is not.
Interesting thing here: I found in some catalogue that 339200 is analogous to 20310SA200\SA140 and fits Cross Sports. But the second chart above shows 339200 is analogue to 20310SA180, which has an analogue of 334468 as per the link I shared, and this is the one I am able to buy.
Also, interesting that Monroe specifies their RH strut meet so many SUBARU OEM #, but not SA200\SA140 what makes me concerned that Cross Sports struts may be different to XT ones:

@Don Clark As per your 1st chart you shared, for the 2.0 S Turbo (S - Cross Sports?) from January 2003 an up, front right is KYB 334370 and I just found it available to order. It just has no list of analogues.
Could you please advise if I should go for these:
OR these:

If you look at the complete "European" listing, "S Turbo" is a carry over from the original "SF" model Sport Turbo and should really read 2.0 XT. They chopped and changed the early "SG" MY03 front stuts. Nothing at all to do with JDM models
The JDM Cross Sport (turbo version) sits lower than the XT so what ever you get is probably going to be a compromise.
Pre Facelift image
Full front (items 1&2) and rear (items 3&4) strut listings for Face Lift JDM Cross Sport (turbo) models (CRS) with NON self- levelling system (Have added turbo as there is also a Cross Sport non turbo version CRSI )
Any item that has a blue box following the part number, the part number is superceded and 9L can be added to the end of the original (eg: 20360SA120 becomes 20360SA1209L)
JDM Revision Build dates
For a Revision "D" Facelift Cross Sport (turbo)
For a Revision "E" Facelift Cross Sport (turbo)
For a Revision "F" Facelift Cross Sport (turbo)
@Don Clark thank you so much for your time, effort and the info you shared above!
You mentioned that I will face a compromise - what do you mean?
I am wondering:
1. If XT strut fit CS Spring well? Wouls be an easy button.
2. If I cannot get CS specific struts, and If XT strut does not fit shorter CS spring, I guess I have the only one option to go for the XT quick-install strut complete assembly with XT springs etc, and get XT height.
