Talking Reflashing Edm Ecu to USDM?

Hello from sweden!?
Just bought my first subaru ever!

It is a low mileage one owner forester 2.5xt my 2005

Was wondering as the tuning options here in sweden seems limited if it is possible to reflash the ecu or repinn in and swap it for USDM spec so i can use COBBS accesport!

Very unlikely as the ECU, although looking similar and using the same plug layouts, the US model runs various other US specific monitoring sensors.
However attached are the relevant ECU pinouts and Engine Electrical System diagrams for comparison.

Your making a lot of work for yourself when you can just buy an openport 2 cable and a wideband and have it tuned remotely.

Then it would be a matter about finding someone who does remote from here 😄

What is doable with the tuning part regarding "Stages" and possibly e85 ? I looked at some of the fancy stuff on ecutek home page.

Will mount wideband as soon as i recover from surgery!

for a remote tune it would be opensource with an openport 2.0 cable - 'tek on the 05 forester doesn't give a huge amount of features. If you wanted to go a little fancy then eculabs might be a better shout or there might even be a dime patch for that ECU.
