Default Few questions about gdb 2005 blob eye impreza i am building

Hi there im only new to the forum and have a few questions. I am engine swapping a blob eye 1.6 to have a wrx ej205 engine and i am looking to know when fitting a sump baffle should i use 2 sump gaskets or just use instant gasket for the baffle going onto the engine and the sump going onto the baffle as the baffle sandwiches between the engine and sump. The other question i have is, is there any tried and tested method for unseizing the really long bolts that goes through the rear hubs and 2 lateral arms or am i best just cutting them and tapping them out with a hammer. Thanks

rear bolts can be a nightmare so all depends on how 'seized' they are??

simply use Threebond (or similar) to seal.......be aware that lots of "baffled sumps" are anything but

Thanks for the reply. Had a breaker bar on the bolts with a bit of exhaust pipe and can just about get them to turn. They look like they've rusted on the exposed bit and swollen up. Was hoping if i got them moving with the bar the impact gun would move them but thats not the case.😂 Ive heard bad things about some baffles specifically the ones with rubber flaps that deteriorate over time. The ones i have are full metal so hopefully should be all good and have an oil pickup to go in as well.

Finally got them out with a lot of heat and penetrating oil. Kept working them backwards and forwards. Man they must be some of the worst seized bolts ive seen on any car ive owned. Gonna build up these new hubs to fit the twin pots and get the rear arms back in.
