Hi All,

I am new to the forum and bought a damaged 2006 impreza hawkeye WRX STI 2.5l turbo.

I have just about fixed it, so should be on the road soon. It took a hit on the driver side front, so probably need to change the shock absorber

Is it better to replace with standard. If so, where is best place to purchase as I am finding its hard getting parts for this model

Or any recommendations on a coilover kit?

Yours is on 53 plate are You sure its an sti?
and gray seats looks like wrx, pcd100 than like all wrx's not 114.3 like on 2006 sti's

The V5 has the registration date as 2006. I believe its an import, so that could just be the date it was put on the road over here. Its a WRX sorry. Says so on the V5

looks like it is 2006 hawk wrx ,You need pcd100 struts
You can buy used oem struts or new coilovers or kyb struts etc ask 2pot member for new kyb struts for Your car.
flex z coils are not bad
depends how much You would like to spend tbh
mark swoboda on facebook breaks wrx's ,he base in Wellingborough or mattyb close to Birmingham, Stuart Hammond is another breaker

 

If it has a 17 character VIN then for Model Year 2006 (MY06) the 10th character will be a "6".
Build date,s at the Factory, for MY06 where from beginning of 06/2005 to end of 06/2006.

If fitted with a 2.5L unlikely to be a JDM import but maybe a grey import from Malta or Cyprus.
