Default Tail light doesn't work, brake lights do.

Hi all,

Small problem I'm trying to solve but any input would be really appreciated.

My tail lights do not work, but my brake lights do.

I've checked the connections on the back of the light assembly and it all looked good.

I've tried the switch on top of the steering column to bypass the relays but didn't work.

Checked the fuse in the cabin and getting continuity.

Getting really confused now - any input would be greatly appreciated as I'm lost now!

Car is an 04 JDM WRX wagon if that makes any difference at all.

Thanks
Nick

Attached PDFs, as labelled, are for UK MY05 models so may or may not be the same as JDM but should be a reasonable guide.

Had another look yesterday from this model, my number plate lights are working no problem whatsoever, from what I can make out the tail lights are on the same fuse/relay as these bulbs?

Am I missing something obvious?
From the look of my housing, there's two bulbs in the brake section of the light, but on the back there's only one connection? Is this what's causing the problem.

Cheers

Top bulb: Twin filament (12v21/5W wedge) stop/tail bulb

Centre bulb: Turn signal (12v21W)

Bottom bulb: Reverse or Fog (12v21W wedge) depending upon side

Cheers mate,
Sorted it this evening, thanks for the part number for the brake lights, filament for the tail light had burnt out but not the brake itself...

One thing I didn't check first..

Thanks anyway
