I recently bought a 1999 registered Subaru Impreza, I plan to sort out the rust issue which it is plagued by then use it as a road and track car with roll cage STI upgraded parts and fit a turbo. it currently has a EJ20ENW6FA engine cupped with a TY752VRCAA 5 speed transmission. The reason I am actually making this post for is the history of my car. it fashions a gold Subaru livery as well as on the exterior three badges with "SAN REMO" and one gold badge in the cab with "LIMITED EDITION No. 3 SAN REMO" I will attach some pictures. now when researching about SAN REMO limited edition Subarus i can’t for the life of me find anything about them, there must be a 1 and 2 as i have no 3 or does the SAN REMO limited edition Subaru not exist, was someone back in the day trying to stick out and be different i just do not know? any help would be appreciated if its something worth restoring and keeping stock as it currently has zero mechanical modifications i will keep it that way, if not it will be modified!
Looking at the rear wheel arch rust, the suspension turrets will most likely be in the same condition.
Although UK registered on a T plate (Mar-Aug 1999) the W in the VIN shows it to be a Model Year (MY) 1998 and built between the beginning of February 1997 and the end of July 1998 .
