Default Crystal headlights

Hi all I'm looking at changing my my97 headlights to the later crystal type.

I want to retain the electric adjusters so makes it a bit harder to find them. If I can find headlights with damaged glass can glass be used from a non damaged headlight without motors be used to replace it. Is the glass itself different on lhd and rhd cars or is it the reflector inside?

Can you post a pic of the lights?
98 cars had different lights to 99 onwards.
Not sure if yours has the earlier lights, like mine,(98), or earlier still.
The lights can be split, but the 97/8 lights glass lenses are what do the focussing , whereas it's the reflector in the later crystal lights, so not compatible.
You MAY be able to retro fit your headlight levellers onto lights that dont have any.
BTW: if you're doing this to make the car look nice, fair enough.
If it's to get better lighting, forget it.

Thanks that helps. Yeah it just for looks I have read how poor they are on for light, but it's only a 2nd car.

So are the cases themselves interchangeable between 97-2000 as they are the same shape?

I'm thinking if i can source a pair of crystal lights with cracked lenses but with the motors on, presumably the lenses from a headlight with manual adjusters should still fit?

Im guessing the motors never changed design either? So I could swap the motors from my 97 lights onto a pair of later crystal lights.

Just trying to see what my options are and what's possible thanks

The motors, I know are the same.
I'd guess that the cases are too, but that's what it is: a guess.
