Hello ladies and gents,

I have recently purchased a 2008 Subaru WRX STI JDM GRB. It came with no steering wheel controls as most of the JDMs do.

I have found some steering wheel controls on ebay, which look to be in good condition. Does anyone know if the required wires for cruise control and audio are already in the harness, or will I need to run the wires myself?

Has anyone had experience doing this to their JDM hatch?

Whether a JDM model comes with steering wheel controls (and many other items) will depend on its Revision (equates to Model Year) and how the purchaser specced (option packs fitted) the car from the factory.

As to the wiring being the other side of the clock spring/ roll connector is another matter.
You may also find that not all the speakers(rear doors/tweeters) are fitted.

 

Hi, were you able to get this sorted? I've got a 2009 GRF with cruise control but looking to add the volume controls as well?
