First time I have ever felt sorry for the Italians, the Irish and the Ref .

Why's that.

 

1. Ireland (through Farrell )were extremely fair in saying it was a strange one
2. Italy did their very best
3. the ref had no choice

 

Played Rugby for years. Even seasoned professionals were confused

 

Agreed. Rugby has some very convoluted rules, although the intention of this particular one is player safety, it was unfair on Italy. However, front row players should be aware of that at international level.

 

Agreed. Just seems unfair in the heat of the moment something like that gets you sent off. You have no time to think when someone thundering at you. Anyway. Fair play to both sides. Confused but accepted refs decision.

What about Italy's finish yesterday? Wales have been terrible this year but Italy deserved that.
And a nice touch from Adams giving his man of the match medal to the wee Italian 15.
