Is the prodrive back box much more laod than the OE or is it quite
I have a my 99 5door

 

It's louder, but way better, in a bub, bub, bub, bwwwwaaaa type of way.

 

Cant go wrong with it - it sounds great - much better burble at rest and over 3.5K a real hoot and still not too loud or intrusive on my MY99 4dr.

Have to say with the rear seats down and the rear windows shut it sounds even better !

I had one on my MY00 and I thought it was great. A deeper burble at idle and nice and civilised at town speeds and no drone on the motorway.

Use full throttle or go above 3000rpm and it starts to growl and then "whoosh". It's only loud when you want it to be IMHO.

However, if you're a fan of the SS type systems and "louder is better", you may not think the PPP/WR Sport BB is loud enough...
