Default STI Titanium Key for Legacy?

Morning Guys,

My 2006 BP5 JDM Legacy TbSTI never came with a second key, so looking online I was going to buy one of the STI Titanium ones and get it cut.

However looking at the STI Titanium one online it looks a little different to my Legacy one, has anyone got experience with this and has had one cut?

Just thought I would ask before going to my local Timpsons and showing some pictures to the guy at the counter.

Cheers

the Gen4 JDM cars have a chip immobiliser as std in the key so you will have to get it 'cloned' to be able to work correctly........

When I took the same key to get cut at my local Timpsons they refused point blank because it was a car key. They’d sell me one of theirs though Had to travel half a hour to another “local” locksmith who did it in a couple of minutes for a few quid.

Thanks mate that was exactly what I was after. I've since discovered a guy close to me will do replacement keys coded etc for £80. So I'll go to him.

A shame as well as the STI Ti keys are very cool looking.
