I've got a 2005 WRX blobeye with no engine modifications (as far as I know), but plan to give the engine a good maintence going over soon mainly to sort out a couple of little oil leaks. One thing I'm thinking of doing is replacing the existing up pipe with a decat one, mainly to protect the turbo. However I not sure which one to get. I see a lot on eBay that look reasonably priced, but keep reading that those ones with the flexible joint in them aren't too good. So is there a make that's good without breaking the bank? Afterall, it's just a short pipe, so how hard can it be for someone to make something suitable?

 

Contact a breaker and find an STI uppipe, or AS performance for a Harvey spec uppipe. Do not get a cheap eBay one with flexi as it can fail and kill your turbo. You’ll also need a resistor to blank off the egt sensor 👍
