just wondering if anyone had the torque specs for the naturally aspirated EJ20...i know hp is rated at 170hp, but i'm just wondering what the torque is rated at, and at what rpm. i doubt subaru would make a honda-like torqueless engine, but you never know. from what info i've gathered on this engine, it looks like the route i'd want to go for an engine swap...a) it's cheap in the US, since no one wants the n/a motors b) it's more powerful than the US market EJ25, and c) a high revving, high compression, torquey motor with a low pressure turbo (5psi) kit would be on par with a WRX 0-400m, and much more useful at lower speeds.

any info anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated.

The N/A 2litre we get in the UK is NOT the same as the JDM one!! I had one in my old forester, and it was only 123bhp! Have a look on www.subaru.co.uk in the specs, all the info you want is there. The 2l Turbo in the UK forester was 170bhp, but is now 177bhp. Same engine as WRX, but smaller turbo and different ECU I think.
