Default Rockford Fosgate Punch sub PS-8

Hi, has anyone got a Rockford Fosgate Punch Subbox PS-8 ? Just changed my 2001 bugeye to a 2016 STI, used to have a 12' Alpine sub in a heavy box, to be honest I'm liking having the space and saw these underseat subs, read lots of reviews, ain't say great, some say not that bassy so want some advice here! It will go with a kenwood touch screen sat nav system, also got a rockford Fosgate amp

Depends how loud and bassy you like your music. As a bass fill at normal volume and not bass driven music, they work fine.

It's not going to kick like a boxed 12" obviously but will be an improvement over small door speakers trying to produce sub 100hz.

I have an Alpine underseat sub in my 2016 (also the kicker speaker upgrade front and rear). I also made the decision to keep the boot space. It's punchy enough for me that I don't feel like I'm missing out too much on a boxed sub.

Is that a powered sub or you running an amp too?

Powered sub with a Kenwood head unit. Haven't felt the need for an amp yet as it drives the Kicker speakers without any distortion and it's way louder than I could ever need. Knowing me though I'll end up fitting one at some point
