Default Hardrace engine mount kit.. Will it fit ?

Hard race engine mount kit driftworks

hey guys I am looking at getting this set for my bugeye wagon wrx but I'm a little confused as it says it's a 6 speed manual only but then says it will fit a 5 speed manual?

has anyone fitted this? I'm driving a 2002 bugeye wagon wrx.

The gearbox mount will be for 6 speed but the engine mount and pitch mount will fit fine. Have you looked at the STI Group N items? Similar price to the Hardrace stuff if I remember right.

ah so the engine mounts would be ok but the gearbox mount won't fit is that correct? I guess I could just order the engine mount stuff and get a new oem gearbox one or the group N like you said?

5 & 6spd transmission mounts are very specific and need to be correct - if you purchase from a decent stockist then they will have both kits on the shelf to supply you with the kit you require and potentially cheaper.........

great stuff.. if you can recommend a decent stockist that would be cool. Right now I'm sorta hunting eBay and driftworks heh I'm not aware of many subaru specialists sadly (skylines for last 15 years doh)

I did find these from a RHDperformance it specifically says 5 speed kit too?

Rhd performance 5 speed engine mount kit

Fitted these yesterday... wasn't too tough.. get front of car on axle stands nice and high.. remove nut off the engine mounts bracket plate.. Jack engine up.. loosen the two bolts holding each mount plate in.. the ones around the steering rack are a bit of a butt ache but you can get a spanner in and do small turns on them. Jack the engine up a bit more pull the mount out.. swap the bracket plate over and put it back in 👍🏽 both sides and the gearbox mount took about 2 hours.
noticeable difference in power transmission.. no sloppiness as you push the car.. it's like the core of the car feels stronger if you will. Well worth upgrading and barely any more engine vibration through the car.
