Default Newage heads without half moons? (Picsss)

Stripped 4 heads today and found 1 from my 07 widetrack doesn’t half the half moon seals? Is this likely to have been an original head or has it come from another engine?

the later cars used a revised cam cover that located the fixing bolts outside of the main chamber hence these don't require bolt seals and also don't use half moons either
the half moon is only there to line bore the cam journals so presumably they changed the tooling to allow the machining to be completed from the front

pic shamelessly stole of ebay for reference
