Hi all,
as the title suggests I'm after some buying advise. I'm thinking of selling my fiesta rs turbo and fancy something jap again. I'm a complete novice when it comes to imprezas but I've been looking at the 2 door type R's. Not going to be a daily driver but I want it to be reliable. Would you steer clear from them and go for a newer style ie blob eye or hawk eye? What engines are most desirable? Please treat me like a complete dumbass because I have no clue so all input is greatly appreciated.

I would stay away from the 2.5 engines on the newer cars unless they have had a forge rebuild .The 2.0 engine would be the one to go for which would be in the type r anyway .

 

as above stick with the 2 litre engine if going for a type r i would look at importing one so no rust issue's
