Made sure I brimmed the tank but also put a bottle of Lucas octain booster in with the car having less use.
the plazibo effect was in full force as literally half a mile down the road I felt as if the car was being pushed along rather then being made to move.
I filled up this morning at £1.31 a litre which I was more than happy with considering I was paying £1.41 a few weeks ago. To give some comparison, the cheapest 95ron I could find near me before Covid kicked off was at Sainsbury's and that was £1.29 a litre.
I'm an essential worker and still out working so it's nice to have some small wins in this very difficult time.
I feel shell over price their fuel , the rewards they did turned into a bit of a farce , tesco you do get points but not as much as before , over a year i probably get nearly a free tank of fuel in rewards , i spend around 250 to 300£ a month on fuel , so momentum works out better especially over a year ,cars have been mapped for tesco , and work fine with it , i do do the odd tank of shell but don’t notice any real difference
Momentum was 109.9 in Hastings at the weekend, same price as their diesel, I brimmed the tank but having only done 400 miles since September it could well still be in the car this time next year.
I'm sure it will get used, not as if a tank lasts long in these things, I'll just commute in it for 2 days when everything is a bit more normal and it will be on fumes again.
