Default Legacy bonnet struts

I would quite like to have bonnet lift struts on my 2008 Legacy. The problem is that I can only find kits for Imprezas.

I did ask Grimmspeed if their kits fit but they didn't know and suggested asking a forum.

It would be great if someone has all ready done this. If not then it would be helpful to compare measurements of the Legacy with a kit on an Impreza.

I took some rough measurements from the centre of the bonnet hinge.

On the wing there are 2 bolts at 182mm and 495mm.

On the bonnet there is a hole with a grommet at 480mm.

The bonnet is about 1180cm and with the bonnet down it is 7kg at the catch.

PS. I just found Redline.com make a kit but it relies on drilling and pop-rivets. This might be necessary because of the rubber seal along the side of the wing/bonnet.

I can get them for legacy from 05 to 09
it has modle code bp5 though not sure
what that relates to with legacy’s

These should be a direct fit without drilling But I would have to
speak my supplier To confirm as I haven’t got them before for the legacy

cheers CSF
