Default Hawkeye - Bonnet catch not working

Morning guys, I've gone to do some bits under the bonnet on my 2006 Hawkeye Wagon this morning and the bonnet catch is no longer working for some reason. It just wont pop the bonnet no matter how far I pull it.

Is there another way I can get it open somehow??

also get some one to push the bonnet down or pull up as you pull the release catch

I had to take the front grille off in the end, it was just seized as a good pull on the cable whilst lifting the bonnet popped it. Works fine again now after lubrication, just have to not neglect it.

good to hear it’s sorted , wd40 to get rid of the rust , then cover it in grease for a longer term solution , it’s like door hinges often get neglected for a bit of grease until they start squeaking
