Default HELP! Vibration between 1500-2000 rpm

Hi guys,

I have a Forester STI and have some vibrations when driving.

Vibration occurs when i change from 1st to 2nd and the revs drop from 1500 to 2000 rpm.

The whole rear of the car seems to vibrate! I feel its drive train related but looking for pointers on what i could do to find it!

An example of the noise is, imagine if you'd put the car into the wrong gear, e.g 1st to 4th rather than second.

Once i get over 2000 rpm, no issues, also if i change going from 1st to 2nd at a higher revs and they don't drop to 1500rpm, it won't do it.

I think if i do this in any gear, the noise will be there at these revs.

Any help is appreciated, the noise is driving me insane!

Thank you!
