Literally the first time I see this type of seat. Anyone on here that happens to know these and has some additional info? Are these really STI genuine? Or could it be just an aftermarket seat with an STI logo stitched on it?
I know there used to be an STI seat that you could get from the STI performance parts catalog, but that one was a full bucket racing seat which is different: https://www.nengun.com/sti/full-bucket-seat-recaro
If anyone has any sort of info on the first seat, whether its a genuine STI piece, part number etc. then please share. Really interested to find out more about it.
The second set are niiice, never been a fan of the sti blue interior so they aren't for me, pretty sure I've seen someone selling a set like this or at least very similar on one of the Facebook subaru groups this past week

I'm interested in the seat, but shipping from Japan is extremely expensive.
So if someone already has a set over here, that'd be helpful.
I found out these were optional STI seats in Japan made by Recaro. Came standard with lightweight aluminium rails. One seat is ~14kg which is 6kg ligher than newage driver seats.
Early versions (available for GC8) had an STI style badge in the middle of the seat and were two-tone fabric:
Later versions (available for GDB) had an STI logo at the top of the seat and were alcantara/suede, also available in single-tone black:
