Default Thermostat housing leaking

Hi does anyone have trouble with the thermostat housing leaking on a newage, I replaced the thermostat today with new gasket and I couldn't get it to stop leaking it's only a very slight leak should there be a gasket that goes around the housing itself

I would first definitely make sure it's leaking from the thermostat and not from the water pump or hose that joins to the thermostat housing.

If it is leaking between the thermostat housing and the water pump, then you need to make sure that there is no pitting or corrosion around the housing face and that the surface is clean / flat, as this may cause leaks. I would also lubricate the seal before fitting so that you do not 'nip' it when bolting on the housing.
