Default Ecu manual to automatic

Im looking for a way to decipher the ecu part numbers as im tring to convert an auto to a manual and ill need to swap ecus to prevent transmission fault codes tring to find a manual in the junk yard is like pulling teeth and most online sources don't seperate ecus by auto and manual they use the part number to identify which does me no good as the number i have is the wrong part anyhelp would be appreciated

The OP appears to be based in the US and no vehicle information (model/year) supplied.
Best answer on current information, would be to check out opposedforces.com (if OP can connect to it as some can't) using the USA sections as you have the options to search against manual or automatic transmissions.
If part number not listed then more info needed to do anything else.
