Default Super unleaded N.Ireland

Was just wondering what petrol you use in N.Ireland? Been using go super unleaded after being told Scoobys don’t like the BP ultimate which I was using.
Cheers

Topaz/Circle K have super unleaded all be it not great. BP ultimate better than nothing. Maxol the lawn mower wouldn't even get it. That data for want of a better expression comes from multiple mapping sessions.

topaz(circle K) and go super have been pretty similar in my experience, ran my own on it for years as it was the closest to my house. Since i've moved it gets BP - again because it's closest to my house and no problems. I've mapped cars on maxol/bp/topaz/texaco/go super and whilst BP maybe doesn't always get the best results compared to others i do like the consistency between various BP locations. Sometimes other brands the quality seems to move around a bit depending on where you get your fill from.

If your in belfast and you want it plugged in again to see how it's running on your current fuel hit me up and we can hook the gear up and go for a spin.

BP don't do their 99RON in Northern Ireland as they don't have a mix facility in the country to produce it. Not sure what it cannot just be tankered over in ferries,

few years ago a new Tesco station got built near me. Every pump , 3 nozzles at each had unleaded 95, diesel and Momentum 99 stickered up, as did the totem sign. I couldn't wait. Mentioned it on a local forum and got shot down (was told there's only tanks for 3 fuel types in NI, 95/97/derv) but i insisted as the place was all stickered up. I mean , why put the signs on if its not happening ?

The day it opened they put 95ron stickers over the extra pumps and totem sign

Thanks for the replies, think I’ll give the texaco stuff a go. All the topaz garages near me don’t have super unfortunately

Asda, Sainsbury's, maxol, BP, Normally only the bigger garages as it depends on how many tanks they have for storage. you will normally find if they have less than 4 tanks they will only have diesel and 95ron unleaded

Asda ? Didn't think they did SUL. Certainly not in NI.

Yeah no asda, or sainsburys, maxol, texaco, Go, near me sells high octane fuel. From what the dealership was telling me they run fine on Unleaded but its suggested to fill up with SUL the odd time... is this true ? Just wondering how often people use SUL over regular unleaded ?

in most cases those with access to super will run it on super all the time and a good proportion will also carry a bottle of NF octane booster in the boot incase you get caught short. Go super isn't too bad in my experience and compared to 95 the super unleaded will give you more MPG as well as more power when you need it.

if you are struggling to get 97RON then a remap on 95RON to make sure the car runs as it should. I know my sti on the fuel door has a sticker stating 98RON only.

the GO garages also stock super unleaded

Most BP garages stock 97ROn and Saisnburys @ Holywood Exchange (2mins from city airport)

as above there - pretty much all the BP stations, most of the GO stations, most of the circle K's, and a fair amount of Maxols will all carry super. Alternatively, half a bottle of NF in the tank should have a similar effect assuming your starting with a decent 95 (maxol most likely).
