The alarm siren is under the scuttle panel.

Default s30 alarm

the system is working fine apart from the siren, can the siren be switched off on its own via the keypad with everything else is still working or do you think the siren has been disconnected and I still cant find the stupid thing to test it! lol

If you can't find it under the scuttle panel then maybe somone has removed it? that's probably why it's not sounding.
Quite common to get water ingress in them aswell.

It should be under there right in the middle

It's interesting that you quote an S30 alarm in the title, whereas the original alarm would have been an M30. has it been upgraded?

Do you know what you are looking for?

The siren is fitted with a rechargeable battery so that it will operate even if the main battery is disconnected and if it's the original system it could have died.

The scuttle or cowl panel covers the windscreen wiper motor and linkage to the wiper arms.

It would have been an M series originally and upgraded to an S series at some point probably because the M series had a fault.
You can no longer buy M series parts hence the S series upgrade.
