Anyone changed pre 97 bonnet, grill & headlights ?

Gentlemen,
Apoligies if this topic has already been convered but i am planning to take on the above project for my UK96 turbo and am wondering if there any technical/mechanical implications, as it does appear to be a fairly straight forward conversion.
No offence to other pre 97 owners of this vehicle, but i feel that the early bonnet and grill do not do the scooby's reputation any justice .... however, it's a question of taste and individuality, afterall beauty is in the eye of the beholder !
