I had Navtrak fitted to my car over the weekend. When I came to phone Privilege to find out if I can get a discount, I was told that all there policies have changed.

Privilege will now only take new policies for Special Edition Scoobies (ie P1, RB5, Mcree, Catalunya etc) if they have a tracking device fitted. Standard UK turbos wont need one.

If you have an existing policy you will get the discount anyway.

 

So is a WRX a special edition then ?

I phoned them this morning for a quote and was told "Tracker or no quote".

They also said it couldn't be a Tracker Response (cheapest one) or Navtrak.....

Worth checking before you have anything fitted - get it in writing from them!

I was with Privilege until last month and was thinking about Navtrak but they would not give any discount on fitting one.Nor would 3 or 4 other companies listed on the Navtrak webpage as companies who would discount policies.
I am with A-plan now they will give me a £150 discount if I get it fitted.

 

Yeah same thing happened to me when I had NTrak fitted , I expected a discount but they said they could only provide that if my car was insured for 30,000+. Just shows how greedy these BIG insurance companies are even when you take precautions to protect your vehicle.
