IS A BLOW OFF VALVE THE SAME AS A DUMP VALVE THE HKS BLOW VALVE HOW NOISY ARE THEY AND ARE THEY ANY GOOD

I have the HKS jobbie on mine & its 'kin loud, enough to make everyone turn and stare & in one case a youngish girl at a bus stop screamed when I dumped going past here, its fun but can get boring, fortunatly I dont need to drive the car all day everyday, Is it any good, well I have no problems with it & HKS are a good firm, so I guess yes.

I'm sure those with more knowlegde will explaine what a Dump toatmosphere does and its good & bad points.
