Joined this week and just figured out how to introduce myself! (I think)
Had brand new in 1997 P reg (218bhp) uk impresa turbo from the dealer in Swindon as a company car for 2 and half years fantastic memories.
Company replaced it with a wrx sti v2/3(? 265bhp)) 1996 N reg estate and ran that for two years until I opted out of the company car thing, wow that was 20 year ago!
Unlike the UK car that thing never ran out of steam at 4800 and just went on with lots of power, don't know if it was standard or tweaked.
Anyway I've had old Audis these last 10 years and fancy a change so currently impreza less but on the look out for a bug eye.
Sure the forum will be a wealth of knowledge when I hit issues although in the 4 and half years of previous ownership the only problem was a boost valve from memory, just limited power but was only obvious if you new how quick it was beforehand!

Hello everyone.
So I'm on the hunt for a wagon 1998-2000 with mot and some history.
If it needs some welding to the arches etc not a worry as long as it can be a rolling project.

Yeah to say I was fortunate was something else, in my 20's and living the dream.
reg was p963 tam of the uk2000 turbo, can remember the sti reg and don't have any pics barr really crappy one like this

 

If you don’t mind me asking mate, what did you work as to be getting a sti company car? Did you pay for the petrol or the company? Lol

 

Unfortunately p963 tam might not be with us anymore...nothing since 2013

 

I'm guessing they came from Simpsons of Swindon at Highworth, where I got my diesel Legacy and Blob wagon. I lived down in Hampshire back then, and they always had a couple of classics for sale.

 

I sold seafood.......a lot of it. 😂 Yeah they paid the petrol but I would get 28mpg on a long run. 62500 miles in 2 and a half years never missed a beat still on the original clutch.
Yeah I looked it up myself some time ago and saw. P963 came from Simpsons, Highworth very good dealer. Import came from Thatcham area, can't remember the importers name??
