Default Rear demister kills radio signal

Hi all ever since i had the car if i turn on the rear demister when listening to the radio all signal is lost and all i get is static. Turn the demister off and all good again. Got a new head unit coming tomorrow to replace oem one. Was just wondering if anyone knew what was causing it so i can fix it while putting the new head unit in.
Thanks

The rear demister acts as the aerial as well via a powered amp along with a noise suppresion unit
Sounds as if the noise suppression unit may be dead.
Details all here..........

When fitting a new HU make sure you connect to the powered amp (usually the blue powered aerial wire)

Looking at the diagram in opposedforces I would think its on the RH side tucked up under the rear parcel shelf.

from the MY07 workshop manual

Noise suppressor is choke coil on wiring diagram below
