Anyone stick with the 16" classic standard wheel yet using super grippy tyres? Or is it better to ditch them and go 17s?
All my classics have had 17s on, this one has standard 16s on still just wondering if its worth the upgrade?
Its a fast road car with the occasional track day or event

glad im not the only one!
im only running standard 4 pot brakes and a 2 pot rear conversion, I am hoping i can squeeze the godspeed upgrade disc kit under there

I've got the standard RAYS 16s on my wagon. I also have a set of 17s from a P1 but they will be getting sold. What decided it for me was the significant weight difference, tyre cost, and no need to carry around a full size spare. I also prefer the OE looks but I may be in a minority there.

I went back to 16's with my Type R because I preferred the way it handled, only had Falken 452's on though... so not supper grippy... but still a decent all round tyre with quite a firm sidewall and strong bead... as noted by my tyre fitter, which he said is a good indicator of a decent tyre.
I don't like tyres with an overly low profile, I prefer a little feedback and flex from my tyres... I also like the absorbing effect they have over bumpy roads as I think it made the car less skittish and faster overall as well as more predictable on the limit.
