Default which pads to get? 2004 wrx sti

iv got a 2004 wr1 and dont use it alot at all. Bought a house and its been sat in the garage for 16 months with no mot as i just simply havent had the time.

i treated it to some new godspeed grooved disks and kevlar pads about 2 year ago but the pads seemed awefully hard and wasnt even eating the disks at all, giving no dust, no real bite, and pedal felt fairly hard.

so iv put it down to rubbish pads.

what pads to people recommend?

driving style will be some fast round driving with some fairly heavy braking when i use it, and some normal everyday driving. i will only do approx 200-300 miles a year in it.

friend has blue stuff but they seem to have bad reviews reguarding brake deposit build up and there £250 a set. performance friction seem to have a good write up and are abit cheaper at £190. these pads both say for fast road and track use, and it worries me that there going to be too harsh/hard and give me squeel on normal everyday driving.

any opinions people? thanks

for heavy road use/abuse and even trackdays the PFC z-rated is a fantastic performer as well as value for money - personally wouldn't use E^C..........

in general the PFC are also fairly refined - always in stock as well as both more refined road pads and full blown competition / race materials as required

So performance friction pads would be fine for normal road driving aswell as fast road? I wont use it on the track i shouldnt think anyway.

i just dont want and squeeling or fade

I have the same problem, like 2 blocks of wood till warmed up, not sure what pad they are but would like to change them.

Sure godspeed do a better pad than the kevlar type.
