Default Turbo mystery, STi Type UK

Hi guys,

Was hoping to get some help with this one.

The car is a 2003 STi Type UK. It looks like I've been driving with a TD04L turbo and I have been told that this shouldn't be the case. It seems that a VF35 is standard for the car.

Is there any reason that a TD04L should be in there?

Cheers guys.

Someone possibly fitted one when there vf turbo gave up ,, or they could of swapped it out for a hybrid td04 but I'm thinking it's the first one and they didn't have any money to buy the correct turbo so they brought a cheap td04 to keep it running to sell on

It was bought from subaru and was only 3 years old when I got it so I was thinking it would have still been under warranty before that, so no cheap fits needed by previous owner

I'm sure it's a STi as bought from main dealer.

Now I'm starting to think something a bit dodgy has happened as SOMEONE fitted it in there.

just stick the applied model code up, and it`s easy to work our what car you have.
