Default Hazard switch illuminated?

Well the title says it all. I have a late 2000 bugeye wrx and noticed while driving at night that the hazard switch is not illuminated. As far as I know it should be here in Germany and personally I think it'd better if its illuminated to find it faster. So, is mine broken or is it just not illuminated?

Thanks guys

the problem when you change the bulb it's not easy to get the switch to be on or off with out risking disturbing the bulb and breaking the bulb or a short circuit , the cost of a new one is much easier , i tried and gave up lol
