Default (Ab)Used Sport 2.0 lasted 25 miles

Hi All. i bought my first Impreza this weekend (Yay)

i loved every second of the 30 minutes before it broke down. then i sat on the M25 for 5 hours waiting for a truck

sold as seen so cant take it back

1st issue. Speedo stopped working then check engine light came on (have ordered lower speedo cable)

2nd issue. overheated dramatically - i got a new thermostat and fitted it guess what.... there wasn't one in there beforehand

HG seems OK RAC man tested it

It OK if i keep the speed and revs low. but after running it for a while the top pipes are hot and bottom ones are cold so i've bought a water pump will fit next week.

SO now the only issue is this... the temp gauge is fed to the rad.. is this normal?

No such thing as sold as seen if bought from a dealer.....

Sounds like it wasnt filled correctly and is air locked.

hg is not always that easy to detect as a problem , sec 13 sales of goods act if it's a dealer ,plus trading standards

You've had your pants pulled down fella. I think it's pretty obvious the reason it was for sale is because of the over heating problem....You should of been straight on the phone to the seller the minute it started to overheat.

You got a copy of the ad? You can still pursue misrepresentation in a private sale if the seller has stated its all good etc.
