Does anybody know if a 2ltr turbo diesel manual gearbox fit a 2ltr turbo petrol engine if so are the ratios the same.
Triptronic gearbox has failed on friends car and have the chance of a buying a five speed manual gearbox but as above its from a diesel.

 

id imagine being diesel the ratios are gonna be different, it will probably fit and work etc but the gearingf may end up being too much hassle
