Electrical Power Drain?

Hi all,
Does anyone have any idea how much power should be being pulled from the battery when the car is parked? (i.e. engine stopped, doors shut and alarm OFF)?
Had a problem last week 'cos the battery was low - I had my brother in-law have a quick look at the weekend (electrician) and he said that something is pulling a fluctuating 1.5-2.x AMPS of power continually!
Surely this can't be normal? (Obviously I'm calling the dealer first thing)
The car is a UK STi BTW.
