04 sti front shafts

Default 04 sti front shafts

Just removed the front shaft from an 04 sti as it snapped and needed replacing.

Removed green one which doesn't come with the stub shaft.
Replacement is gold one which does have the stub shaft.

Both for an 04 sti.

Confused!

Be from the year change you have the wrong shaft as they changed over

sorry to interject but do sti driveshafts fit a wrx from the same year? I have a 5speed 03 wrx and wondered if it would be worth/possible to upgrade?

Nope, sti uses a 6 speed box
