Default Up Pipe install with Turbo removed

Hi

I have fitted a PPP turbo back exhaust to my 03 WRX which is great. The exhaust came with a decat up pipe which I haven't fitted as I have read that it is a real ball ache to install with no lift.

However, I need to remove my turbo to drill out a stud which sheared off.....So my question is, is the up pipe easier to install with the turbo removed? OR is it still just as difficult?

Question 2: I know its advised to remap when installing an decat UP pipe and I plan to remap in a couple of weeks time, but if I drive the car for a couple of weeks with the pipe installed, will it do any damage?

Thanks in advance!

i would be very wary of driving to any great degree before you map it due to the fact they normally run leaner without the pre-cat restriction

as for the fitment then yes far easier without the turbo in place
